Dear friends, prayer is a sacred gift allowing us direct communication with God. When we pray in Jesus’ name, we recognize Christ as our intercessor before the Father. As Scripture teaches, there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved.
To pray in His name is to pray in alignment with His purposes, submitting our will to His perfect will. It signifies our belief that He hears and answers prayers offered with faith in His power and love. As adopted sons and daughters grafted into God’s family, we have the privilege to approach the throne room boldly through Christ.
When we pray earnestly for others’ needs, pray for wisdom, pray prayers of thanksgiving and praise, we do so in Jesus’ name. Praying in the name of Jesus also means coming together as His body . He granted power to His church when He said “where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.”
In His name and authority, we can come confidently and boldly before the Creator’s throne. We can fully trust that the Father hears the petitions of His beloved children. Through faith in the Son, may we pray without ceasing, offering all our spoken and unspoken requests to God.
Dear friends, now let’s look at some scriptures below that talk about praying in Jesus’ name.
